Weston-super-Mare Local Producers Market, 9am to 2pm second Saturday of each month, Town Square, WSM. A great place to shop for good quality local produce - venison, pork, lamb, farmhouse cheese, bread, cakes, fruit and vegetables, plants and photographs.

Thursdays

Winscombe Thursday Market, 8am - 12noon, Community Centre, Sandford Road, Winscombe. A superb range of fresh fish, local and seasonal vegetables, free range eggs, local cheese, home made cakes, fudge, savouries, honey and preserves, Hobbs House Bread, Moorland Farm beef and many other interesting and varied stalls including charity cards, "Barefoot" books for children, and "See Saw" children's clothing, "Traidcraft" provisions and goods, home made craft items and seasonal plants. Refreshments available. Free admission.

Saturdays

Bleadon Village Market. Every third Saturday 9am - 12.30pm, Coronation Hall, Bleadon. Selling everything from local produce, to crafts, Fair Trade, antiques and collectables, together with a community cafe selling hot snacks and drinks.

1st Sat of the month

Hutton Village Market, Hutton Village Hall, Hutton 9.30am - 12noon on the first Saturday of every month apart from August and September; and the December Market is on the second Saturday. ie. the Market runs on March 1st, April 5th, May 3rd, June 7th, July 5th, Oct 4th, Nov 1st, Dec 13th. Selling local fresh bread, meat and vegetables, home made cakes, second hand books, jewellery, local art, bric a brac, home produced honey and jams, craft items, cards, fairtrade goods and a café serving hot drinks, bacon rolls and home made bread pudding. "Lets Go Bananas" Baby & Toddler Music Class, aimed at Babies from 6 months old to Children of 4 years old. Classes last for 40 minutes and we have free squash and biscuits at the end. BME in North Somerset

From 12noon, The Badger Centre, 3 - 6 Wadham Street, WSM. Learn about other cultures in the area, try amazing food, guest speakers, new international parents group and get free English lessons!!! (from 2:30-4:30). The aim of the BME Network is to reach out to those from Black and Minority Ethnic backgrounds in North Somerset to ensure they are receiving appropriate services, link people up with one another and help groups evolve; to engage with existing groups and associations; to set up a social network which can give the minority ethnic community a voice, be a focal point for the BME voluntary sector and promote joint working between different minority ethnic groups to increase their engagement with public agencies and promote good race relations.

The Weston Light Orchestra captures the spirit of the thirties and forties, playing well remembered and nostalgically-loved music from that era. It models itself on the radio programme from the past 'Grand Hotel'. Each item has a brief introduction from local historian Patricia Hase and the orchestra is joined by two solo singers and Weston pianist Richard Lennox.
